Meet Leo!! If you are looking for a dog that can walk with you without a leash and stick right by your side then Leo is your man! This boy is somewhere around 5 months. His previous family got him at 9 weeks old and had him for the last few months. Mom decided with a new full time job and a 1 year old she did not have the time for a dog and the Dad told us he thought he was a dog person but turns out he would rather just leave him in a yard. (Yes he said that.) Leo is a predominantly Shih Tzu mix. They bought him from a breeder who told them he also has pug in him but he has no pug traits. He is VERY sweet and dear. When he first came into rescue he was afraid of dogs because he had not seen any other dogs since being adopted by his first family but within two hours was already doing play bows with the other dogs. His current photo is brand new right after his grooming which they had never done. His coat is absolutely soft and luxurious and is an absolutely stunning salt and pepper color cream accents. He is hypoallergenic and non-shedding. His adoption fee includes his neuter, current vaccinations including rabies, microchip, housebreaking, harness and leash. An adoption fee does apply. As we pre-screen via email ONLY please tell us a bit about you such as your lifestyle, activity level, work schedule, area you live in, house or apartment, breed experience, how many other adults, children or pets in the household, where your pets sleep etc. We will happily place him with children as he was with a one year old and is super sweet. Shih Tzu breeds do require grooming every 6 to 8 weeks so please be prepared for this. Puppies are also alot of work so make sure everyone is on board for the time and training required. Please not we are NOT affiliated with any other rescue. We also do not accept phone calls in the pre-screening process.
