Note: the $25 donation fee is going to rescueme.org, not to us. There is not a price we could place on CoCo as an adoption fee, she's family. However, the safety of my children, and the stress placed on CoCo due to the children, has necessitated us to find a new loving family for her where she won't be under so much stress. CoCo has been with my wife and I since she was 9 months old (she's 11 years now). We rescued her from a family we know. She is still a great dog, but after 4 years of trying, she still has not adjusted to our young children (4 and 2 year old girls). To top it off, she doesn't get along with other dogs either (usually, sometimes she does, but there's no discernable pattern). However, she gets along GREAT with other Yorkies, without fail. This is very hard for us to give her up. We've been struggling with it for years since we brought our first daughter home and coco never warmed up to her. Bringing our second daughter home just made it worse. She's still a great companion, and gets along great with adults and other Yorkies. She's still full of energy and loves to play. She is finicky about her food though and will only eat Nutro or Blue Buffalo. I am praying that she finds a loving home where she can still play without being stressed out by young children. Feel free to call or text me, in addition to email. If you live within an hour of us, I can drive her to you. If further than that, we will need to meet. We will send her to you with her toys, bed, blanket, collar, harness, leash, tags, food, food container, and water/food dishes. CoCo is 11 years old (birthday is February 10th). She is 10 pounds, and in perfect health. Additional side note: when you walk her (and she loves walks and car rides), use the harness. Yorkies have sensitive throats, so they should not be walked with the leash attached to the collar. Also, when/if you put her in her kennel, remove her collar. There are stories of Yorkies hanging themselves in their kennels due to their sensitive throats. We have never used her collar to attach the leash to, and have never locked her in her kennel with her collar on.
