OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi, I am Makarov but my foster mom calls me Copper. I think I was given that name because of my beautiful coat and my soft fur. I am an inquisitive young boy. My nose never leaves the ground on walks. I want to smell and explore everything. I love to cuddle with my foster mom, but I am working on warming up to strangers, my foster mom is doi ng a great job introducing me to people and teaching me new things, like how to not fall through stairs. She keeps telling me what a smart boy I am. I know the basic commands and aim to please. I am potty trained, but still need regular walks, I try really hard to hold it as long as I can. I am crate trained too. Although I would rather cuddle with you on your bed. I live right now with my big foster sister and she is teaching me doggy etiquette, like not to take her bone while she is chewing it. I am still a puppy and learning all the correct doggy ways. I also have two feline friends. They don't really care for me and even though I want to play with them, I leave them alone when my mom says so. I love to run and play, I have a lot of energy. I would probably make a good running partner too. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate, gentle, energetic, quiet, smart..very smart... and eager to please pup, I am your guy! PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
