[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Penny is a sweet, loving Havanese who we got from a breeder just under 6 years ago. She loves to snuggle in bed at night and she loves going on walks and playing fetch. She's a velcro dog and follows me everywhere. She is fully potty trained and hasn't had any accidents in the house since she was a puppy. She was walked every day and given lots of love and attention for the first few years of her life. We had our oldest daughter almost 4 years ago, a son 2 years ago and now just had another baby. I have not been able to take her on walks very consistently in the past couple years and she's always been too smart for her own good but now she takes advantage of my being busy and is constantly getting into the trash, jumping on the table/counters and if she gets out the front door she can take off around the block. She is good with kids but the kids need to be old enough to know how to respect a dog- my almost 4 year old has provoked her and Penny has given her a few little nips- not breaking skin but leaving a small welt. She is really good with other small dogs, very friendly on walks or if we meet at a park, but she is not a fan of big dogs. For about 2 years now she has had seizures once every 2 weeks or so and her vet does not recommend any medication at this time and hopefully they will not get worse. She is very loved and I grieve the thought of not having her in our family but I feel the most loving thing is to find a home where she can get the exercise she needs and training to not get into so much trouble. I also would not want my daughter to provoke her to a point of being bit hard enough to break skin.
