Meet Serenity! This beauty is 18 weeks old and weighs about 5 pounds. She is pure puppy and will be ready for her forever home in mid May. Serenity is working on her house training and is doing well on going outside as well as on potty pads. Her forever family will need to continue her training and use positive training methods to help her finish her house training. Serenity loves to play and enjoys playing with other dogs. She is leash trained and loves to have her tummy rubbed! Serenity is taking puppy classes right now and will have completed them by the time she is adopted so she will understand basic commands. This little sweet does very well with other dogs but we do not recommend her with a very small child under the age of 8 years. She is not cat tested. Serenity would like a home with another dog with some energy to play with her and give her some canine company. Serenity loves to sleep in the big bed in her foster home in Florida and would like to have a home that will continue to give her big bed privileges. This little sweetie loves to play outside in the yard and would be happiest in a home with a fenced yard and a doggy pal to enjoy it with. She loves to eat watermelon and like all puppies she is full of energy. Serenity's forever family needs to understand the needs of an active puppy and be prepared to be patient when she makes mistakes, and have the time to spend with her to become a healthy happy adult. Remember that dachshunds live long lives and any adopter should be prepared to love her for the next 15 years! Dachshunds can be stubborn, and they respond best to the reward system when being trained. Please be sure you understand the needs of a dachshund puppy before applying to adopt Serenity. Are you going to be the one to welcome Serenity to her forever home? Apply to adopt Serenity and fill your heart with some puppy love!
