Simon is a Great Dane (Harlequin/Merle) who will turn one year old on April 21st 2018. He is about 130 pounds, mostly white with a few black patches and a big gray patch on his bottom. We are good friends with the breeders, and while he does not have papers, he is purebred. He is super affectionate with our family which includes four kids and a German Shepard. Also two cats who tolerate him but usually reject his affections. He is well socialized due to our busy household and periodically attending doggie daycare. He takes to women a little better, but loves his human brother and daddy as well as a few of the neighborhood boys. He does growl at strangers but quickly warms up (especially with a treat) and has never bitten anyone. We are very sad to offer Simon up for adoption, but have come to the conclusion it will be best for him and us. We live in a large house but a small lot with no fenced yard. Between our busy and variable work schedules, he doesn't get adequate attention or enough time to run around. Our GSD does fine with our lifestyle, but not Simon. Although still a puppy, we are still having occasional trouble with potty issues in the house and some other rebellious domestic terrorism. We feel that having to kennel him as much as we've needed to is not a good home environment for our big lover. Ideally he could go to a home familiar with Danes, preferably with a fenced yard, and he loves other dogs but that's certainly not a requirement. Many more pictures upon request.
