About

Alexis is an approximately 10-14 month old 45 pound mixed breed (we suspect labrador border collie mix). Before being euthanized for time and space, she was saved from a high kill shelter in New Mexico. She is being fostered in Cheyenne, WY. Alexis is very smart and knows basic commands. She is highly trainable and eager to please. Very food motivated. She attaches very closely to her person/people and does battle some separation anxiety because of this and her history of being abandoned. She will do best with a patient owner who will continue to work with her on this (she has made a lot of progress) and in an active family, preferably with another dog, and in a family where her owner is home a lot or does not work very long shifts. She is kenneled trained, loves walks and car rides, and likes other dogs. She is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She will be adopted out through Happy Landings Animal Rescue. Adoption application, contract, home check, and adoption fee is required. Please inquire if you think she may be the dog for you!
