This handsome Cattledog/German Shepherd mix is Kingston. He is a 6 month old pup who is ready for a new home. The Good Samaritan who has him has too many dogs to keep him. Kingston weighs about 30 pounds now, so will end up the size of a small German Shepherd, maybe 60-70 pounds. Kingston is a nice boy. He is good with men, women, and loves kids. He is slow to warm up to new adults at first but just thinks kids are great! He also lives with large and small dogs and even two cats! He is initially scared when meeting new dogs but warms up nicely with polite dogs. Then he plays with them! He will need a home that can go slow with that first dog meeting. Kingston is already cate trained and has done well with house training. Reinforcement in his new home will keep him on the right track. Kingston will be a great adventure partner. He is good in the car already. He is working on leash training but is scared. Again, someone will need to go slow but he likes to learn from kind people. Kingston must have had a rough past. His finder says he has really come out of his shell and will continue to do so with patient people. When he gets to know someone, he gives kisses! He will also give his paw and talk. For the right family, Kingston is a great dog waiting to happen. Kingston is up to date on vaccinations but will need to be neutered by his adopters. We do not ship our dogs. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
