About Maya

Maya is a half Arab/Quarter mare. She is people oriented and has been a great trail horse. I have had her for 8 years and do not know of any physical problems with her. Maya is 15.2 hh lighter in bone, with an average walk, depending on who rides her. A bit pokey with my husband. Has not been ridden in 2 years but has sat before always the same. A tune up might be in order though. Normally followed but took the lead the few times I rode her and never refused anything in the trail.Is my husbands horse to ride normally. Rides in a bitless bridle or bosal. Does not take a bit period, has been barefoot for 8 years but had shoes on when I bought her. Good to trim. Easy to load. It breaks my heart to let her (and my other mare) go, but due to our age and work needed to be done on fencing,our age, health etc. I think it is the best for her if I can find the right person or family.I will be very picky where she goes and to whom. Will need references from people other than friends, family and from a vet. I will want to know what kind of horse set up you have etc.I will want to meet you and you the horses. Want the two to go together and will deliver. Must be within a reasonable distance from where I live.Must sign a contract that if you can no longer care for them they come back to me.406-822-4006
