Sophia and her buddy Tyson (pug -chiwawa) were given into my car 3 weeks away when their elderly man owner was evicted. I had to take them in for flea and rabies immediately. Sophia was fearful but submissive with Chiwawa bravo. I approached slowly and her owner placed her in my car. 10 minutes later she was in my lap. Low to overcome fear of new people but she adopted me as her favorite. She will climb into my husbands lap, and jump from his shoulder into my arms as I walk by. I'm working on voucher to get her fixed and rest of shots. She loves to shiff and walk on leash. She plays catch inside and brings tiny tennis balls back to the chair. Tries to spend entire day in my lap. At night wants to sleep with me but not allowed so cried first hour or two until she figured out how to get in laundry basket with tyson. Alert, and comes quickly when called. She picked up sit for treat in 2 minutes. Eager to please. When I get home or awake in morning she jumps to waist high to get picked up. Then quivers in delight and shakes for several minutes. Growls at all visits to my home. I place in bathroom for 3 minutes and bring her out and introduce slowly with treats and she gets calmer. My kids are in college and she jumps at every noise so I don't recommend small kids. She picks a favorite human but does not seem to like males or females better than another. Will sit on back of soda or your shoulder if allowed. Very agile.
