About Joseph

Joseph was born about March 7, 2017 and will likely top out about 55 lbs. He appears very much white GSD, but he's so small we may want to think about some Husky in there. He does have the average GSD slouch to his back legs and those ears!!! Joseph was an owner surrender to a dog control officer in the very rural parts of Buchanan County VA. We are guessing the surrender was due to his love nipping (ouch!) your legs when he is happy to see you or wants your attention. This very unfortunate behavior should have been curved way back, but we are working on it now and he is very bright and gaining understanding that it doesn't get what he wants. We hope to have this behavior be a thing of the past before he leaves, but we need humans who understand that with a new change of environment and different humans in his life he may begin this again and it cannot be allowed, so there may be work ahead once adopted. Now for the good part. He is a LOVE! He is a lap dog and adores his humans. He follows me everywhere and is lying under my desk at this time. He is wonderful with the other dogs and just simply magnificent in appearance! Yes, I just love him and if I needed a dog...... This is all we know so far and will be learning as we go.
