About John Snow

John Snow is a handsome 5 year old Turkish Van. He was rescued from a shelter by a young lady who had the best intentions of permanently keeping him. Sadly because of a very busy work schedule and living with roommates who have cat allergies, she is unable to keep this handsome boy. John Snow is a very playful and very friendly kitty boy. He gets along great with other cats and is very comfortable around cat savvy children. If you treasure a big, fluffy, oh so handsome love bug who likes to sit on your lap for cuddles and to make muffins on you, John Snow is the purrfect feline companion for you. According to the Cat Fanciers' Association, the Turkish Van takes three to five years to reach full maturity and is a large and agile cat of substantial strength. They are very intelligent as well as curious and make very rewarding companions in the right home. The breed is a healthy one and the unique coat does not lend itself to matting, so they require little grooming. The coat lacks an undercoat and has a very unique cashmere-like texture that makes it water-resistant. This brings us to another interesting feature of this breed - they love water and in their native region they have been termed 'the Swimming Cats.' Well, we are not quite sure if John Snow loves the water as seems to be true to his breed. Iit is something his new parents get to explore, but we do know that he likes to chase you around the house just like a dog especially when you run and call his name. If you hold one of his favorite toys in your hand, he likes to jump and try to catch it right out of your hand. He is a healthy, well mannered, human connected kitty boy who will bring a lot of pleasure, fun and love to a very lucky family. He is located in Sacramento, CA.
