About Woodsman

Meet Woodsman. Woodsman is sweet, loving, and playful boy. He has a soft white coat with a handsome smattering of black-markings, like a Holstein cow-and plaintive eyes that seem to draw you in and not let you go. Whoever said that, 'the eyes are the window to the soul,' was right; and Woodsman has a beautiful soul. Woodsman is a 50lb 2 year-old male Pit-Bull mix. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Woodsman is housetrained and crate-trained, but trusted with free-roam of the home. He is amazing walking on leash wearing a harness, and when he is off-leash in the yard, he follows his person closely. He knows: Sit, Stay and Come. Woodsman is very bright, affectionate, eager to please and food-motivated. He loves to play with toys and is proficient at Fetch. He enjoys special chew-treats, like marrow bones and antlers. He is both playful and affectionate with canine and human companions. He enjoys curling up with members of the dog pack and human pack. Woodsman leaves the cat alone in his foster home, but he has been known to chase cats that run and was very interested in a rabbit he met, once. Woodsman met a group of six school-age children and he ADORED them and loved the attention they gave him. He is still very puppy-like, so he might be too much for toddlers who are easily knocked down. His foster mom describes Woodsman as a 'big lovable goof . . . cuddly and craving of human affection and food . . . I don't think he would do well in a home alone for long periods of time.
