About Ladybird

Beagle / Pug
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Miss Ladybird is truly a lady, full of poise, grace and elegance. This girl is only about two years old and is on the large side of a small dog OR the small side of a medium sized dog. She is truly the size of a Beagle. We feel she is a Puggle mixed with something else. Ladybird was brought to a veterinarian right after having puppies because there were complications with the delivery (but they didn't bring her puppies - poor girl). The vet got her all fixed up but weeks passed and her family never came back to get her. That is where we stepped in. Ladybird is one special girl. She is not needy at all and is a quiet girl, very content to simply grace the room with her presence. She is quiet and we have only heard her bark to warn us that there is something amiss outside - and that has only been once. This beauty does great in a crate and when travelling. She is wonderful on a leash and gets along great with dogs and cats (though unruly dogs, small and large, are not her cup of tea). Children are okay too but we are asking for a family for her where the children are over eight years old because, well, younger children can be unruly too. If you would like to meet and potentially adopt Ladybird please read on or go directly to the Adoption Process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
