About Cricket

Meet our miracle girl-Cricket. Just after a week of taking this girl under our wings, Cricket broke with distemper-a disease that rarely affects adult dogs. She battled pneumonia, lost her appetite, and grew very frail. But after weeks of nursing care with her devoted foster, Cricket pulled through. We are happy to report she is her 'chirpy' Cricket self.�%A0 She is playful, affectionate, and a real snuggler-and we mean a real SNUGGLER! She loves to be physically close to her humans. She always curls up with them when sleeping or napping with them. She's also taken to curling up on the floor or doggy bed with one of her big doggy siblings Cricket is excellent with every age of people ranging from the young children in the family to the grandparents-she loves them all and will match their personality. She is just as happy cuddling with grandma as she is playing with the kids. She likes to instigate play with the two big dogs who weigh 45 and 100 pounds respectively!�%A0Her short little legs can keep up with them as she goes on two mile walks around the neighborhood with the family. Cricket is so sweet and is always looking up to see what's next or just for confirmation that she is being a good girl. Cricket is very animated with her ears and you can tell her mood by how she's holding them. She prefers to be wherever her 'family' is-whether that be chilling outside by the pool where she can dip her tiny toes in, lounging around the kitchen while you're cooking dinner, or attending happy hour with you! Cricket couldn't be a better behaved girl. She's going to be a great companion in a quiet or busy house, and she loves to be where all the action is, though she will not be the center of attention.
