Hi, my name is Jackie. I am a 5 year old Poodle/Dachshund/Schnauzer girl. I weight in at 18 pounds. I am friendly and have a lot of love to give. I was used by my owners to make puppies.Once my family figured that I have an early onset of cataracts in both both eyes, they figured I had run out of my usefulness-so they abandoned me and let me loose. Somehow, I ended up at this big scary, noisy place called 'The Shelter'. Boy, I was really scared when I first got there.. My coat was dirty and messy. I was there for several days until a rescue lady saw how well-behaved I was and she took me home. She gave me a bath, cut my hair and she saw how gorgeous I am! My coat is soft like crushed velvet. My foster mom says she cannot ask for a better dog! I am a super-chill, mellow kind of a girl. I am potty trained to go outside, crate trained and am quiet, I do not bark much. I love being outside catching the sun rays. I get along with other dogs and I love kids. I am very shy and it takes a bit of time for me to warm up. My Mom thinks my shyness is probably because I am not able to see very well. In spite of the cataracts, I am a trooper, nothing stops me. I go for walks everyday with all the other doggies in my foster home. I am a Poodle and do not shed. I am what they call a hypoallergenic dog. I have had all my shots, am spayed(no more babies for me!!!) and am even micro-chipped. I am all set and ready to find my own family. So-what are you waiting for?
