Adoption Fee: $150.00
German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Oso German Shepherd Mix Male 3 years old 85 lbs. Hola! My name is Oso, which is Spanish for 'Bear.' I think I got my name because of my dark coloring, my big head, and my love of cuddling, which reminds people of their favorite teddy bear. I am so ready to find my forever home, so I am hoping you might choose me to be in your companion for life! If you want a furry shadow to follow you, a constant couch companion, and an 85-pound lap-dog, then I'm your guy. Please read more about me! Mostly, I just love my people. I like to follow them, nap next to them while they work, and supervise them in the kitchen while they make their coffee in the mornings. Being around my people is how I learned so many commands - like sit, down, paw, stay, and roll over. I think my most favorite things are head scratches and belly rubs. I really love tagging along for car rides and meeting new people. In fact, when my foster parents invite over friends, I always greet them with kisses and a wagging tail (I especially tend to love the ladies most!) Did I mention that I am dog-friendly? I live with two small (yappy and grouchy) dogs and I just love them, even if they don't love me. I can sometimes be protective of my food and favorite toy so I need a family who can make sure I have my space when I'm enjoying my dinner. While dogs are my buddies, I don't think I'd do best in a home with a cat friend and I prefer living with adults more than kiddos so I'd do best in a home where everyone's age is in the double digits. I love going on walks, but I am working on my leash pulling and over-excitement in busy environments. I just get so focused on all the sights, smells, and sounds on my walks that it's hard to remember to relax and enjoy! But my foster parents say I am making great progress and I will continue to thrive with coaching and learning from a forever person. When you're not home, I can be trusted to be loose in the house. If you work from home, I will just nap on my bed next to you or lay with my head on your lap! I just LOVE affection and attention. It's my favorite! My foster parents think I would be just great for an experienced dog owner who is committed to positive reinforcement training to help me continue to thrive! And I just can't wait to give all the love in the world to a family of my very own. Check out https://pawsco.org/adoptions/ or email my friends at PawsCo at [email protected] to learn more about me! I have my paws crossed, just waiting on your call!
