About Blue

Adoption Fee: $150
Russian Blue / Domestic Cat
Age: Kitten
Sex: Male

Blue is an athletic, fun, sweet and playful, one-year-old, 8-pound and gaining, male Russian Blue-mix cat looking for a loving guardian. Handsome Blue was found as a skinny stray on February 22nd in Chicago. I think as he matured and wasn't neutered, someone threw him out on the street for spraying. There is no way an incredibly friendly cat like Blue could have been out on the street long! He is one of the sweetest, friendliest, most loving cats. He follows you around and is always underfoot and rubbing against you. He loves to be held and snuggle in your lap. He also loves to get up high in his cat tree, or look out the window at birds and squirrels. Sadly without vaccines and living on the street, the poor guy came down with Panleukopenia and almost lost his life. After five days of intense hospitalization, he turned the corner and was able to come home. Six weeks after his rescue, he is finally healthy enough for adoption. Because his immune system has been compromised, he has not met any other felines in my home yet, but he has shown a distaste for canines! He has perfect litter box habits and is just a total love of a cat. He is now healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, and virus-tested negative. His adoption fee of $150 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting him, please contact [email protected] for an adoption application. He is currently being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
