About Meadow

Cairn / Yorkie
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

If you're searching for a very devoted and loving best friend....Meadow is the puppy you want to have around! Meadow, at just 4 - 5 months old and 6 lbs (anticipated full grown weight of approximately 8 - 10 lbs) is the perfect size to take just about anywhere. She's portable enough to accompany her people anywhere a sweet, smaller dog is welcome and large enough to love taking a long walk with her family. Meadow can initially be a bit hesitant (completely understandable for a young puppy in a high-kill shelter environment)...but give her just a bit and she becomes the most bonded and loving girl around. Meadow is also very beautiful. These sad/awful photos in no way do this gorgeous girl justice..with her adorable scruffy Terrier coat and beautiful dark eyes that hold so much wisdom for such a young puppy. We've requested post- shelter photos from Meadow's foster and she's promised them as well as additional information right after Meadow's updoming vet visit. Meadow enjoys her time with her rescuer so much that she joins her just about everywhere...a true best friend! She loves being out and about and enjoys all people..her back end wiggles in delight as she greets old and new friends. Meadow is truly a little lap-dog extraordinaire and derives so much joy from her time spent with her family...she's a very devoted family girl. Meadow also enjoys other dogs who are kind and gentle to play with..it's so much fun for her to interact and enjoy fun times together in the sunshine. This adorable (and often silly and funny) pup exudes love and loyalty...and it's catching! Meadow's tough early life has taught her how special it is to be loved and she's grateful for all the kindness that comes her way. She continues to learn and blossom every day now that she's out of her challenging circumstances.. and responds to people as well as other dogs in a very positive and engaging way. Meadow's bond to humans and her smaller and very desirable size leads us to believe that she would be happy in either an active retiree's home...she would blossom with the time, attention and lap time that this type of family would offer. Or a family with dog-loving, gentle children would also be great...Meadow loves kind kids and is playful and fun once comfortable. If there is some backyard play going on, Meadow is the first to join in and can be counted on to be sweet and appropriate! Meadow is so portable (at about 6 lbs currently) that she is able to accompany her family just about anywhere...be it under the seat on a plane (cabin only please) or riding shotgun in the car, Meadow is always ready and willing. She is a welcome guest in every situation...when comfortable, her joy starts with her wagging tail and works its way to the smile on her very cute face. Watch out - before you know it, she's crept into your lap and snuggled up to spend time together. Say the word walk to Meadow ...or simply play together and she's all over it. Off Meadow will go in anticipation of an adventure! She has an amazing attitude for a little dog from a scary situation.. and it was this great temperament that saved this sweet puppy's life! Meadow will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out healthy and well-balanced pups. Farfel's has requested that Meadow be spayed prior to her transport to Colorado. If this doesn't occur, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for her spay and microchip if our Denver vet is used. Meadow will arrive on transport in Denver on Saturday 4/7/18. If interested in this sweet, devoted and very humorous best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Meadow, please be sure to fill out our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
