About Ivan

Ivan is a huge puppy. At 4 months (as of Apr 1) he is pushing 30 pounds with solid legs and paws like pie plates. And he is all puppy gentle sweetness. He yearns to be cuddled and held but is already so heavy that it takes an admirable effort to hold him for more than seconds. He is believed to be of mastiff heritage. He was rescued from Animal Control on March 15 when 3-1/2 month old. He has been dewormed and has age appropriate vaccines. A certificate for neutering and rabies vaccine by our servicing vets will be provided for when he is of age at 6 months. Adoption fee $100. More photos on his Facebook page. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home suitable for their needs and committed to their care and safety. Each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own furry family members. The process can take from 1 to 3 days. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Resident animals are owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The shelter is not permitted by GA law to accept strays.
