Meet Leah. She was rescued from Puerto Rico a few years ago. Skinny and sad. She was taken from a cellar and rescued by a group who flew her and a few other dogs to East Coast. The family who adopted her is an older couple in poor health and cannot walk her/exercise her. Leah spent the day (3/30) with a rescuer evaluator and was told that Leah is wonderful. She was fine on the leash and loves meeting folks. She is shy for the 1st minute or two and then blossoms. Groomer of Leah for 2 years) states that she is a good dog and no trouble at all and is friendly once you get to know her. Leah has never been around children. She never goes after any dogs, even dogs in cages. The family also had a female poodle until it just died and they were find. The family got a puppy now and Leah is find with that dog as well. Leah needs a loving, understanding home where she can run in a yard and be exercise d (her fine mind and body). The older couple have over fed her and she must lose some weight. She is beautiful and wants to be part of your home and life. Can you find it in your heart to rescue Miss Leah. She is free to an amazing home. Would do great with a confidence large male. Please call me, Dawn if you want more information on Leah. Fosters welcomed as well.
