About Zuli

Adoption Fee: $200
Australian Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Lazuli, Zuli for short, named after the color of her eyes. Is a miniature austrialian shephard, last time she was weighed in the summer she was 21 pounds she turned 1 in December. She is an amazing companion we are re-homing her due to my daughter having severe asthma and allergies to dogs that were unknown at the time we got her. She is potty trained, and knows basic commands, sit, lay, shake, fetch, and bed when its bedtime. She loves to take walks, play outside and fetch, go for car rides (although she is a little apprehensive to hop into the vehicle, she needs a little encouragement). She loves her toys and bones and always has one with her although she loves to destroy the stuffed ones as well. She is good with other dogs that she has been around and good with children, although she displays some nervous behavior with my 2 year old daughter when she is near her and does growl at her although she has never tried to bite her, she growls when my young daughter comes near, but is great with my other children and doesn't display this behavior with my 5 year old and older children. She will go to her crate or the room where we keep her on command when we are leaving the house or when its time for bed. We keep her in the laundry room when we leave, she recently learned how to open the door and did fine loose in the house when we returned home, although she does not do well crated or kenneled up when you leave her except for at night she sleeps in a crate. So we keep her in a room with another dog and toys, bone etc. so she is not alone when we leave. She is used to being alone for 5 hours or so at a time, but is very eager to go outside and see us when we get home and gets very excited and worked up. She has been an inside dog and has never been left outside for extended periods of time. We can discuss her further in detail if you are interested in adopting her. She is sweetheart, and has been an amazing companion to our family, we are hoping to find the home with the best fit possible for her, so we will take our time with her placement, but would love to hear from you if think you are the right fit for her. We also request that anyone that adopts her get her spayed right away, we want to make sure she goes to a loving home where she will be part of the family.
