About Onyx

Check out my beautiful onyx eyes. That must be where I get my name from - Onyx. I'm a mix of many different breeds it seems, a Heniz 57 if you will. I think I am part Chihuahua, part Dachshund, part Basset Hound, maybe part Shepherd.... I'd be a great one to do a DNA test on! Whatever breed I am though, I know I am an awesome little guy. Weighing in at around 28lbs you can see why my breed is so unsure. I have a Dachshund like body only bigger and I am a low rider, as in my legs are not that long! I'm a happy guy, like other dogs but don't need them. Not sure about cats but my foster angel thinks I would be ok with them. I really love my food and am very food orientated and I love kids. I enjoy snuggling with you on the couch but equally I enjoy lying in my own bed. I'm not a lap dog, but I pretend to be sometimes (despite my size). I'm told I am a really smart boy but I have selective hearing - as in sometimes I just ignore you. I'm a character, that's for sure! I'm all ready for my forever home, so if I sound like the kind of character and partner in crime you're looking for - find out about me quick! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
