We are looking for a special home to shower him with attention in his golden years. His adoption fee is a tax-deductible donation of $300. Maurice spends his days lounging on a fluffy bed and dreaming of loving family of his own. He enjoys a slow walk in the yard, exploring his surroundings and smelling the fresh air. '|His joints are no longer nimble so he moves quite slowly. The highlight to his day is meal time, a big bowl of yummy food makes him very happy. He immediately perks up bit when his foster mom is preparing dinner, sometimes even hopping with a little excitement. Maurice's eyes are a bit cloudy, but still have a sweet sparkle a see a familiar face. He loves to lay on laps and quickly relaxes as you give him attention. He is a true lap-dog. Maurice will require a family that can comfortably lift 15-pounds. He does not do stairs, and even short ledges can pose a challenge for him. He will also need a grain-free diet to keep him healthy and coat beautiful. As Maurice is a poodle, regular grooming every 6 to 8 weeks will be necessary. Maurice is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, Maurice should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview.
