About Remy

Remy is between 9 to 10 yrs old yet he acts like a pup, only 6lbs he needs constant companionship, an older couple will be perfect, no kids, he does bark when he hears the doorbell. I am not fostering, this is our beloved dog. He is fuzzy when being groomed, he is healthy records available, I had him for 5 yrs he was given to me, but I now work full time and he wants to be in your lap constantly, he is that kind of sweet dog. He has a doggie door and goes outside on a litter, he knows how to walk but needs a harness as not to hurt his throat, because he can choke. We live in Palm Beach County and would like the dog to remain in FL. I am not selling him, however you have to make a donation to Rescue Me, they will decide this he is to go to a great family this is why I am not charging for him but, I will ask a lot of questions about this to make sure he is going to be loved and comfortable :) fixed in perfect health, on heart worm prevention meds, up to date shots, heart worm pills every month about mid month I have extras. He had a lot of teeth removed because the previous owner did not care too well for him. I had him for 5 yrs, my husband and I are in our 50's but now I have a full time job, and Remy needs someone to be with, he is referred as what vets call a velcro dog, he is up to date with vaccines and he is microchipped. He is a gorgeous little fellow a pure breed fixed Yorkie. Needs a place with no children, he is like a puppy,so small kids can hurt him while playing, as well as big dogs. Needs atention and love, plus kisses :). He does not like to be in a crate, flying is out of the question, he is very happy when you are home with him, and he is in your lap, he does bark when he hears the doorbell ring, or he sees a stranger approaching to him. He has never attacked/growled at anyone, we use a harness to walk him because he has a small trachea, and he does well in walks and likes them but he is fast. We never leave the door open around him, because he likes to take off if you don't keep an eye on him. We have an enclosed lanai with a doggie door and when we are not home he goes in a paper hypoallergenic kitty litter lined with doggie diapers goes there when you are not home with no problem, the litter is made with recycled paper. I had someone contacting me afraid of his newly installed wood floor, if you truly believe that any dog can't have accidents, then you should re-consider and no dog will be perfect. He likes to go on trips so he has his own car seat but rather be on your lap. He gets a bath every week, he is not matted, groomed every 6 months because he is fuzzy about his tiny toenails. The vet is Boynton Beach Animal Hospital in Boynton Beach 561 732 0777. He only has a few teeth left because the previous owner did not take him to dentist, however with us he goes yearly. Last visit this month, because he gets super anxious if I don't come home soon, so he had diarrhea for a few days, not anymore since I am paying someone that comes at lunch time to walk him a little. We live in Boynton we are willing to bring him over to a new home ourselves. We want to make sure he is going to be loved as much as we love him. He has tons of toys and about 3 different beds he likes to sun bathe in the lanai, but like I said his fav thing is sitting with you while you do crafts or watch TV on your lap too. He likes squeezzy/noisy toys the most and plays tug with them and will bring them to you waiting for you to play with him. He has never destroyed anything. Although he gets along with kids he does not really like them, he does not play with them, he rather be an only dog, we had another yorkie he stayed while on vacation, and he never had any problems. He gets very excited while playing, so he has a lot of toys and expects one every time you travel, he will look for it in your suitcase. He eats ceasars soft food and has a healthy appetite, loves to sleep right next to you. He sleeps with us in bed and he just stays put, if he needs to go out he jumps from bed (we have a foot rest because our bed is high, and goes through the doggie door outside from our master bedroom. Dog door can also be given to the happy new family. He weighs like a feather! Loves being carried in purses! But is a sturdy little guy. Will do great in a fenced patio. He is also insured for medical bills with a pet insurance co., with a deductible. We do this with all the pets we have had, if you want the policy can be transferred is about 60 a month. Please only contact me if you are serious and have no problems with us asking questions regarding your home, also if you have just lost a pet and expect Remy to be like your former pet, this will not be the case, getting a 'replacement' dog after a loss, never works out as you want, no one can replace that void. Remy and your family need time to get used to each other, adjust and start fresh. I work so I will be as prompt as I can getting back to you.
