About Axel

Our adorable Axel is estimated to have been born around 11/14/17 and currently weighs approximately 23 lbs. Your guess is as good as ours on his breed makeup; possibly German Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix. He has large paws, but we can only estimate that he may get about 50-60 lbs full grown. He was found living alone on the street in a very bad part of the city and his owners could not be located. He is a very sweet and special boy with very sharp puppy teeth. He is crate trained and working on his housetraining that he is doing well on. Since Axel is still a puppy, he will need a home with a family who has the commitment, time, and patience to give him guidance and help him grow into a great dog and family member. He would do well in a house with another dog to show him the ropes. He is learning to walk on a leash and really likes walks. He should be walked daily to help him drain his puppy energy. Axel is not much of a cuddling type pup and prefers a dog bed to a couch and a crate to a human bed. He is still too curious to be uncrated at night or when you are not home.
