About Shadow

Shadow is a 1 year old long hair dachshund mix who is looking for a loving forever home. Shadow is a sweet boy, but is very scared when he first meets new people. Shadow has come around with our staff and has become a happy boy who loves affection! He will jump up in your lap so you can rub his chin, give gentle kisses, then sit down behind you and share your chair as long as you will let him. Shadow loves to have his belly rubbed when he lays on his back, but also loves to run and play! Shadow would do well in an active home where he can stretch his legs. Shadow is not fully house broken, so he will need a home with lots of patience and a family who will help with training. Shadow would do best in a home where he will not be kenneled as he is scared in a kennel and can get kennel aggressive. If he is allowed to make his own way around he will happily follow his people outside to go to the bathroom. Shadow weighs in full grown at 11 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, licensed and vet checked. His adoption fee is $260. His adoption includes a free vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance. To meet him come to our shelter location 1102 W Hatcher Rd open Tuesday to Sunday 11-6. Call for location on the weekends as we have off site adoption events some of our dogs attend.
