Dude was found in my daughter's neighborhood June 20, 2017. She tried to find his owner, took him to a vet to see if he had a chip, and posted letters around her neighborhood, but did not find the owner. She has 4 dogs and a cat, so she asked me to take him. We took him to the vet for all his shots and he said Dude was approximately a year old then. He is thought to be Australian Shepherd mixed. He has a blue and a brown eye. He is heartworm free and I had him neutered March 2, 2018. He also had a chip that I had placed on him. I have him on Trifexis for prevention of heartworms, to kill fleas, and for prevention of hookworms, whipworms, and roundworms. He loves to run, loves people, and kids. He gets along with my daughter's cat and dogs. He loves to go places and is very good riding in my van. He needs training on the leash though because he pulls me trying to get to other people expecting them to play with him. He is a very loving dog and wants to be with me all the time. I feed him HEB's Heritage Ranch Salmon and he gets a peanut butter treat to help clean his teeth. He wants the treat first though. If I forget the time, he always reminds me that it is time for him to eat. Sometimes a little early and I have to make him wait 20-30 minutes more. I try to keep him on a schedule, so I can remember whether he has had his dinner or supper.
