Rico is going to get put down --- And he DON'T Deserve it! Rico was rescued from the woods he was tied up in since a puppy. An old man tied him there and did feed him but Rico had no life at all. I discovered Rico, fed him, bought him new food, and checked on him every day for a month until the Old man was put out of his house then gave me Rico. Rico has shown a high level of affection to me. No sign of aggression. Once he realized I got him out of this 'hell' he was in, he rode 2 hours with me lying and sleeping in the back seat of a warm SUV. Every 15 minutes he would get up and nibble on my ear, then lay back down. I learned to love him actually! I've got 10 dogs so this can't happen with me. Rico's only experience with other dogs has been strays that came to steal his food. He was often entangled and could not defend the food. He does not like other dogs. The owner said he had a cat for a best friend but I don't know anything about this. Rico has been in rehab (for aggression) and in Rescue. The rescue will not adopt him out if he has dog aggression. I've been given 20 days to find placement for Rico or he'll be brought to Animal Control where there he WILL be put down. He's just a 2 year old boy! He need a loving family that can teach him.. but he needs to be the only dog in the family. I did not personally see Rico's reaction with kids so I am not stating anything. He apears to love people and jumps for joy and pounds his paws in excitement when folks come around! I really need someone to provide a miracle for this wonderful boy!
