About Buff

Buff is a mellow, easy going, affectionate, lovable senior Cocker. He is a healthy and happy guy. He loves snuggling, walks, car rides and to sleep by your side. Buff has been in foster care for a year. He was adopted once before and did well, except he ate the adopters make-up and a flat of tomatoes, that were in a cardboard box. So, Buff was returned to us. On the positive side, he never gets sick and has the constitution of an ox. Buff does have an unusual love of eating paper, any kind of paper; newspaper, paper towels, kleenex, cardboard boxes etc. You will never need a shredder with Buff around. We think Buff would be an excellent companion animal for someone who is home much of the time. This person or family would have a dog proof house that doesn't have a lot of clutter. When he does get a hold of something he thinks is precious, like a piece of paper, which is his favorite toy in the whole world, he can get cranky when you try to get it away from him. We have found offering him a higher value treat for a trade works great. But this is why we say a home without small children because children do not often barter well with dogs. Buff really is a good boy. He is and has been Norcal Cocker Rescues Official Greeter at just about every adoption event we have had the past year. He is putty in your hands for a cookie. He is always happy at your feet or snuggled in next to you. He's a very deserving boy and we would love to see him go into a loving forever home to spend the rest of his Golden Years.
