The story of Marley is a tragedy. His mom passed away while on vacation and his caregiver has been forced to give him up due to the restrictions at her condo association. It took Marley time to adjust to the loss of his mom and he was sad for a little while. As time goes on this dapper 12-year-old Dachshund mix is coming out of his shell, particularly now that he has had a much needed dental (19 teeth were removed!!). Marley is an extremely gentle soul who needs a low-key house without a lot of quick movement or loud noises. Some of the things he enjoys are cuddling on your lap, belly rubs, feeding time, and he especially LOVES his walks! He is quite agile for an older guy and has no trouble keeping up with the younger pup in his foster home. Marley also loves sleeping in 'the big bed' and goes running to the bedroom when you say 'its time to go nite-nite in the big bed'. Marley is fully house trained and knows how to use a dog door. He truly is a gently soul that was very much loved. It is time he gets a new person to call his own. His is being fostered in NJ.
