Duchess and Patty Duke were pulled from a rural shelter back in November of 2017 after GAP was contacted about this duo.%A0 They were in horrible condition - both had ear and eye infections and were over 50% hairless from a flea infestation.%A0 There is no telling how long they were neglected or how they ended up in that rural shelter, but GAP came to their rescue.%A0 Both girls were treated for all of their ailments and brought up-to-date on their vaccinations and heartworm treatment.%A0 Miraculously, they had previously been spayed.%A0 The vet that treated them believed them to be sisters and estimated their age at about 7 years old.%A0 Duchess and Patty were adopted together shortly after coming into our rescue all seemed right in the world. %A0 Fast forward to now and both girls have been returned.%A0 It seems they were too much for the older couple that adopted them and they are back in their original foster home.%A0 Foster mom notes that these girls are good with other dogs and cats but can be adopted separately since they do not seem to be too bonded to one another.%A0 Duchess likes to sleep at the head of the bed while Patty Duke prefers to be near foster mom's feet.%A0 They are very quiet in the house when they are near their person, but can get a little 'loud' in the yard when initially going outside.%A0 The duo seems to be housebroken as long as their human is proactive about taking them outside.
