About Missy

3/20/18: Missy is an adorable 5 year old Calico who has been with CACR for two months. We held off on posting her as she was so nervous and scared at first and needed time to settle down. She is doing so well now but we are looking for a very special person / family to adopt her. Missy was adopted a few years ago but was returned as the two other cats in the home were very aggressive with her and her owners were afraid she would get hurt. Then Missy was adopted again. Sadly her owner passed away a few months ago and the adopter's family didn't want Missy. Instead of returning her, she was kicked out of her home and was found at a managed cat colony, starving and dehydrated. The caretaker realized she wasn't feral and brought her to us to scan for a microchip. We were shocked that it was Missy! We contacted the deceased adopter's family but they had no interest in taking her back. So this beautiful girl hasn't had any luck finding her forever home and it is our goal to make sure she has a wonderful life. Missy is very sweet and she gets along with other cats. She loves people and is great with kids too. She is still a little nervous but has made such amazing progress and continues to become more trusting each week. She loves to spend her days being pet, rubbing her head and face on your face and she loves being with other cats. Missy is spayed, up to date on all medical and microchipped.
