About Lady

I know ya'll can't stop staring at my adorably funky ears! My name is Lady, and I'm on the lookout for a special FOREVER home. I'm a house (never had an accident!) and crate trained 4 yr old, 55 lb Carolina dog (but Rescue Me doesn't have Carolina Dog as an option!!!) who has been with a family on Long Island for the past year. I am great with the four kids in my home, ages 11, 9 year old twins, and 7. For some reason, little kids who I don't know well make me nervous, so The best spot for me would be either an older couple looking for a new loyal friend, or a family with kids 14+ who will be patient, kind, and understanding of me (and who will gently hold my paw during thunderstorms and fireworks). I'm still getting used to loud noises and find chaotic household nerve wracking, so a calm home where I can relax on the couch would be great! I know basic commands, including sit, come, and no, and if you love the outdoors and taking long walks, I have impeccable leash manners. I'm hoping we can be a match made in heaven! I was fine with cats when I was down in SC, but I haven't been with one in a year, so can't say for sure. I'm vaccinated, spayed and micro chipped.
