About Depressed & lonely

Polly is a beautiful spayed 7 year old Labrador Retriever mix weighing 69 lbs. She has spent almost 6 months at the shelter after she was in a home all her life and abandoned for no reason. She deserves to be in a loving home. She is loved by all the volunteers at the shelter and so well cared for everyday. She has not been adopted as yet ... possibly because of her age. But that is just a #, Polly is in GREAT health. She has developed a very active liking for treats which will need to be addressed. The shelter stresses her out which of course is common, but the last month or so she sleeps a lot probably due to boredom and maybe even depression. However, when she is out of her kennel, she comes to life. She is not a barker or a puller which is a big plus. Her long time foster parents have nothing but wonderful things to say about her��%BD'��%BD| 'Polly is such a sweetheart and so lovable. She loves belly rubs and is incredibly affectionate. She absolutely loves going for car rides and on walks. Polly is a good walker and she has not had any accidents��%BD'��%BD|she stands by the door when she needs to go outside. She will lay her head in our laps to receive love, which is all that she wants and all that she gives. She doesn't ask for much in terms of care, but would enjoy just laying at your feet all day ... if allowed, on the couch and bed as well with her person all night. When we eat dinner, she will lay down with our command. On an outing to the Botanical Gardens, she behaved well around dogs of all sizes and didn't seem overly interested. She loves to be praised and knows her basic commands - sit, stay and no. She is obedient and attentive, but she could probably learn more. Overall, Polly is a wonderful dog who deserves a forever family and a loving home.'��%BD'��%BD��%BD All dog deserve a chance!! if you would like to meet her and save her please email us ASAP!!!
