About Gemma

Gemma is a super sweet girl with a heart of gold! Our vet estimates that she is about 3-4 years old and she's got a LOT of energy! Her favorite things to do are play ball, run around outside, and be her foster mom's shadow all day long. Gemma is housetrained and does ok in her crate. She has some separation anxiety and will whine when you leave, but settles down. She would love to be part of an active family where her humans will spend a lot of time with her. Gemma loves to sit in your lap (she thinks she's small!) and will be your shadow around the house. She does well with dogs of all sizes and is ok with cats. She needs to be supervised around very small dogs and young children, because she doesn't know her size and loves to play, which includes batting at things with her giant paws! Her foster mom is working on teaching her safer ways to play. We're also working on her leash skills, because she is a strong girl and likes to pull. If you've got an active lifestyle and are looking for a Dane who will be your sidekick and BFF, Gemma may just be your girl!
