About Rugby

Rugby is a beautiful, happy, friendly and playful 9 week old (as of 3/18/18) male Boxer/Terrier (?) mix. This energetic and loving puppy and will be an ideal family pet for a home looking for an active companion and for a home with the time and energy to raise a young puppy. Rugby was found as a stray in rural KY with his two littermates ( Rigby and Rae). Since they were strays, we are not sure of their breed mix but they appear to have Boxer and possibly some Terrier (Jack Russell?) in them. We are estimating that they will be medium sized (30-45 pounds) dogs when fully grown. This is, however, an educated guess and they could end up being larger or smaller than we are estimating. Rugby has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date with age appropriate vaccines. His adoption fee to the rescue is $375 and it helps to offset his medical expenses while in our care. Rugby is in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved.
