About Viggo

Meet handsome Viggo, a 4 year old Chihuahua . He came to us with a number of other dogs from a hoarding situation. He is good with other dogs, but has not been tested with cats. Due to his small size he would not be suitable in a home with young children. Viggo will need a home with a fenced yard as he is skittish due to his past. He is working on his housebreaking skills but has a way to go. Viggo's new family will need to be aware of this and give him time to come out of his shell at his own pace. He will need patience and understanding until he learns to trust. Viggo can be affectionate and will sit on his foster moms lap although he will pull away when you try and pick him up. He is getting better with each passing day. He gets excited when his foster mom comes home from work. He hasn't learned to play with toys yet, and does not play too much with the other dogs in his foster home. But we think that it would be helpful for him to have a doggie sibling to gain confidence from. Viggo is microchipped. He has a heart murmur but does not need medication. With the right family he will continue to gain confidence and learn to trust. In return, his family will have a loving dog who will be forever grateful for his new life as a family member.
