About Blue and Gold McCaw

Jasper is a female, approx. 12 years old. I was fostering her and an Umbrella Cockatoo, both were abandoned by the owner. I've had her now for 7 years and she had been laying unfertilized eggs and insists on sitting on them. I also have a Green Winged McCaw and they are fine inside or on top of the same cage but she is aggressive to the other bird when I come around. I have never wanted to breed her. She will do best as an ONLY bird but it will take months before she will allow you to handle her. Once she bonds with you, she is very affectionate. It took me six months to finally handle her and that was trying everyday. AND she is also very LOUD when she wants your attention. She say's 'Hello', 'Bye', and a partal ' I love you' and likes to wave to you. NO breeders and you must be experienced with large birds. She will be an excellent companion for the right person. Comes with cage.
