About Penelope

Hello there! My name is Penelope, and I am a super-sweet, friendly, gentle, ultra laid-back, charming, and adorable 30-pound light red Golden Retriever mix gal, who has more the size, ears, and facial features of a Shetland Sheepdog and who was born about August 2016. I was found running the streets by a staff member at a dog grooming salon, so of course I was brought to that safe haven in hopes of my finding a wonderful new home. I wasn't microchipped or id-tagged, so it was impossible to find where I belonged, but certainly it was my family's mistake that such a fantastic gal like me was fending for myself as a stray! I love it here where there's plenty of groceries and brimming water bowls, other dogs to play with, and nice humans to love on me. But I realize that a home of my very own would be best. I haven't been tested yet around kids or cats because - for Pete's sake -- I'm at a dog grooming salon! But you'll never know unless you try me out! I have to admit that I'm pretty adorable with my big brown eyes and docile expression, so I hope that someone's heart will melt upon seeing my beautiful coloration and big fluff of a tail. Come meet me today because I'm anxious to cover you with puppy kisses. Penelope is updated on shots, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and will be spayed prior to her adoption.
