'PATIENT, SWEET AND TENNIS BALL OBSESSED' that's how the staff and volunteers describe me. So get your supply of tennis balls and come meet me, will ya ??!! I was surrendered by my owner who went into the hospital and could no longer keep me. I am not a puppy but rather a mature, distinguished dog. I miss my life in a home and I am rather unsettled here in the shelter although I am trying to make the best of it until you come rescue me. I am just dreaming about that and it keeps me sane. I may be a senior but don't let that full you. I come with the benefits of manners, I walk well on leash, although I am strong, and of course I am house trained. But I am young at heart and happily exercise out in the yard with those tennis balls. Don't tell anyone, but I do believe I have retriever in me. I bring the balls back and lay them at your feet every time!! And I bet I can out last you too!!!:) I love the car and enjoy going with you on your errands about town. Especially if that includes a stop maybe to McDonalds say!!! Added bonus I have lived with cats too! Now let me give a 'shout out' for adopting a senior dog!! 1) You are literally saving my life since guys like me stay in shelters much longer. And I have already been here a few months. 2) I will never stop expressing my gratitude. 3) When you sleep, I sleep. 4) I have already learned my puppy lessons. 5) I will be easy on your carpets, furniture, and personal belongs. 6) Last but not least...I have a lot of love left to give and I am patiently (see they told you I was patient) waiting to give that to you. I only ask for a warm home filled with TENNIS BALLS & LOVE. (get it Tennis..Love) Oh did I forget to mention, I am rather smart. I prefer a home as an only dog. I mean I think I deserve it at this point in my life. I am ok passing other dogs but I just would rather not have to interact with them. So if you need a dog that likes to interact with other dogs unfortunately I am not the dog for you.
