About Leo

Adoption Fee: $100
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Leo is an awesome, loving 18 month old Bengal. He is extremely curious and loves exploring. He really likes to fetch his 'fish' or my hair ties. He has many voices and purrs quite loudly at the slightest bit of attention. He will follow you around the house no matter where you go, much like a puppy. He loves outside, but I have tried to limit that, so he goes on a leash and enjoys being tied out in the backyard on a retractable leash. He is really smart and has learned how to open our doors that have lever handles, open cabinets and drawers with his polydactyl front feet. He has perfect litter box manners and has never had a single accident, even as a tiny kitten. He has never scratched furniture. I introduced Leo to his scratching post on his cat tree on day one and he likes to use it whenever he gets up from sleeping. Leo loves water and will readily hop in the shower with you and enjoys getting scrubbed up and blow dried. He will go boating and kayaking with you and will voluntarily go swimming when you get close to shore. Leo does not like dogs, because he was bitten by one when he was a tiny kitten. He's never been around cats, so not sure about that. Leo's one negative trait is that he will lightly nip at you trying to get you to engage in play with him. The vet assures us he will grow out of this as he gets older, but at this point, despite all our efforts, he continues. He doesn't hurt you but it's worrisome. We have a new grand baby on the way and our son won't take the chance that the baby could be nipped even one time. It is with a terribly heavy heart and many tears, that I have made the decision to re-home Leo in the best interest of our growing family. He has had his check up and all of his shots within the last month. He is micro chipped. He comes with all the spoiled kitty gear you could imagine, including cat tree, litter box, bed, toys, window seat and whatever food is on hand at the time of his adoption. Leo will stay here with us until we can find him a loving, forever home to call his own. Please give me a call if you are interested or have questions about Leo. JoAnn
