About Blazer

Adoption Fee: $295
Lab mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Blazer!! Hound, sheperd, lab mix 9 weeks 19 lbs Blazer came to us from Tennessee with his 4 other siblings, his mom, and grandma. He was lucky to be fostered with all of his other litter mates in the same house. Blazer is an active, fun, and loveable puppy. He is also very social and loves to be with people, whether it involves playing or cuddle time. He hasn't met a person he doesn't like. In fact, he will roll over when you reach for him and show you his belly. He takes great pleasure in having his belly rubbed at all times of the day. Blazer gets along with most dogs, but not during feeding time. When it comes to meal time, he is not himself and becomes too greedy. He needs to be fed seperately so he has no fear of someone else taking his food from him. Like most dogs, he enjoys a long romp in the yard exploring all the corners. He also spends a great deal of time chewing so he will need plenty of toys to keep him busy. He is crate trained, but is still getting used to it. He really likes to be with his pack, but will settle down after a bit. Potty training is still a work in progress. He has learned to go to the back door when he hears 'outside', but has accidents occasionally. He needs to be let out frequently because he is a young puppy. Blazer is learning manners and commands and will sit when asked. Blazer is always ready for an adventure. He definitely has a take charge personality with his siblings. Will you let him blaze a trail with you? Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
