About Parker

Hi, my name is Parker. I came to New Rattitude along with my brother. I'm shy and timid at first, and it takes me a while to trust new people. Once I get to know you, though, I'm really a sweet lovable guy. At 6 months old and almost 11 lbs., I can run around and play with the best of them. However, I can also sit and watch TV right by your side, snuggling under a blanket to help keep you warm. I need some more experience walking on a leash, but it does look promising. I'm working hard on house-training skills too, and I know that outside is a good place to go, but I'll still need your help. That's because sometimes I get so busy playing that I don't want to stop and forget to go over to the door. I currently sleep in a crate with my brother, but I would much prefer to sleep with my people, warm and cozy under the covers. I don't have much experience riding in cars and get a little frightened. Although my foster family doesn't have any cats or other kinds of animals, I am pretty sure that I would torment them if I could because they'd be awesome for chasing and stuff and I'm a Rat Terrier! Even my foster furry siblings get a little annoyed with my puppy energy, just so you know. I can't wait to find a special family to call my own, one that will be patient with me until I get comfortable with them. If you have kids or another dog, that would be OK, but I still need some time and training to learn to play gently. I do hope you'd like a devoted, loyal dog like me to be your best friend forever.
