About

Pit Bull mix
Sex: Male

My mother called me last night about a Pitt that showed up hiding in her front atrium. She was successful in coaxing him over with found and water. He appears to be very malnutritioned, scared of coarse, and possibly an elderly pup. Since spending time with him last night at my mother, bring him home, and getting him acquainted with my roommates and I he has begun to loose his fear and is relaxing more. He has a collar that was on him when found, but it looks like the kind used when being chained up regularly. Very wide and only just enough room to fit. Tried taking him to the dog park this morning to see how he might do with other dogs, but unfortunately I could not take him beyond the staging gate. He seems to do very well around humans that have been properly acquainted with, but other animals seem to be a problem for the moment. He would charge and try to bite through the chain link fence quite aggressively. As it stands I do not have the resources nor time to be able to take care of him. I am away from home 5 days out of the week for 12-15 hours each day. There is not much chance of me being able to take care of him myself. I want to find him the best home possible, but unfortunately it can not be mine. Plus I can't stand the idea of taking him to county. Pet Alliance would take him to county as well and I can't handle the idea that they would all because he would be considered a stray. If I lied and told them that he is mine and I am surrendering him they would get the impression that I could be the one who starved, and abused him. That doesn't sit well with me either. I will not allow myself to be punish for some monsters atrocities. If there is anyway you can help I would greatly appreciate it. I am on my 2 days off for this week and I will be back on shift Tuesday. I am hoping I can find him help before then. Anything, please help!
