EVEREST update: This sweet boy, who hasn't experienced the best life, has undergone some positive changes in the East Valley Animal Shelter. He was neutered, his entropion eyelids have been repaired, and an infected tooth was removed. Also, a wonderful foster has taken EVEREST into his home for a couple of days to recuperate. Here is a message I received from the foster: 'Everest is doing SO well! He really becomes a love-bug in a house. He's well mannered (obviously excited to be out of the shelter, of course), and sleeping on top of my foot right now. He's more of a 'people dog' than I realized, meeting him in the shelter -- really likes to have a friend. ٪ Oh -- he also likes to give kisses! Just an all-around good boy.' EVEREST will be coming back to the shelter on March 13. Hopefully, a rescue will see EVEREST's potential and pull him, another foster will take him in until adoption, or he will be adopted by someone who will give EVEREST the best years of his life.
