About Foxy

Adoption Fee: $300
Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

About 9 months old. Siblings, Border Collie / Cattle Dog mix. Foxy is a gorgeous rust with black color, and with her ears up, looks very cattle dog, and fox like. We believe they are sisters. Lady is black. Story: Tulare City Animal Services, someone brought them in, explaining they were strays, as the dogs hid behind that person... shelter thinks this was the owner. Obviously they were terrified. Lady completely shut down, while Foxy fearfully protected her body by sitting upright in a corner, with her tail up her belly. But when a dog behaves fearfully... it scares everyone; the intake staff, the vet techs, and the public when you see their mug shots. The city of Tulare shelter, gave the two a chance to calm down, by secluding them in the quietest area of the shelter possible. They observed, neither offered to bite. No aggression, just afraid. Foxy needed a chance for sure, and Lady, just looked like Mother Theresa of late here, Sadie (w/8 puppies), and now here they are. Thanks to Tulare AS, some volunteers and Debbie Strange they got here, spayed, no muss, no fuss. Very appreciative to be here. The transporter and I carried the crated duo, into a kennel run. Opened up, and each allowed me to slip tagged collars on them. Bringing Romeo into the kennel run was a no brainer, and like all the girls, they were up in his grill right away. Was easy after that. Led them into the big yard on leash. And that is where they spent the first night, in any open run or straw filled dogloo they want, with the rest of the pack. They are both super sweet girls. They come to me, and lick, lick, lick! All wiggly and waggy tails. I can feel the gratitude and relief! Pack walk was pretty uneventful. First on leash, for a few minutes, but I could see they packed up, and then I just took the leashes off. I do still lift them into the van, but that will come with routine. Individual info coming about each girl as we get to know them but that's all for now! Photos updated at: Adoption fee is $300, includes vetting, micro-chip + registration.
