About Ken

KEN - 6 years old, 51 lbs. It's time for play, for love, for belly rubs and fun with four-legged friends and Ken AKA the Gentlest Boy in the World, can't wait to share all those good times with you! He is our gorgeous gray goofball (whom I think of as an oversized velveteen bunny). Dog and cat friendly, gentlemanly in his manners and with a perfect behavior evaluation to boot, Ken would make the BEST family pet. Spread the word so he can spread the love! Volunteer writes: Ken is an absolute treasure! A gentleman as gentle as can be, this velveteen cutie is ready to start living the good life as the snuggly pet of your dreams. He was found wandering alone but is clearly a well-socialized guy, and got along just fine with the resident dogs and cat during a brief stay in the home of the person who discovered him. Ken already knows how to sit on command and nibble treats softly from my hand, and was more than ready to roll over for some blissed-out belly rubs from a staff member he just met-definitely a couch cuddler in training! He loves making new friends, enjoys bouncing around with both boys and girls in playgroup and displays wise intuition as well, backing off when his amorous advances are rebuffed by a potential girlfriend, then switching to game play instead. Six years young and no lightweight in the muscle department, Ken's only 'flaw' is that he pulls like a sled dog, and with a world full of fellow pups and fascinating scents to explore, a harness leash and training will definitely be in order once he's settled in his new home. The perfect pet for a family of any size or species, Ken aced his behavior assessment (with top scores!) and now our hidden gem waits patiently to be discovered by a new family as wonderful, loving and playful as he is.
