About Baby Kim

Lab / German Shepherd
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Kim (Novak), one of the black beauties in the litter. (The pups and their mama are named after Alfred Hitchcock and leading ladies in his movies for no reason except we needed a theme and liked this one.) Mama appears to be a Chocolate Lab mixed with a medium-sized herding dog (Queensland Heeler or Australian Kelpie perhaps?). We believe the papa is probably a German Shepherd as one of the pups has those markings. Mama is amazingly sweet and well-mannered and has been a splendid mother and caretaker to her pups. If these pups gain even one ounce of her personality when they are adults they are going to be amazing. All of the pups are so similar in size and personality that you would simply need to meet and decide at that point which is the right fit for you, should you be one of the applicants chosen to meet them. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
