About Dante

Rottweiler
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Dante is between 1 and 2 years old. He loves people. He gets along with a female rottweiler that he lives with but he plays very rough. I often have pulled him out of their romp session to settle him down so he doesn't hurt her. She will then grab a toy and engage in a game of keep away and he does much better with that and doesn't jump on her so much. She holds her own pretty well, but he would need a girl his size to play with and a little coaching. He is stubborn which is typical for the breed but once he learns something, he masters it. Like walking on a leash. It took him a couple tries but then it just clicked in his brain what I wanted from him, and now he is awesome on a leash. He has a lot of energy sometimes but will calm down. He is mostly seeking attention which he is not getting enough of in his current living situation right now. If you have some time to invest in his training, you will have an amazing companion at your side for the rest of his life. I would say that he probably should go to a home with no kids just because of his energy and wanting to jump on people when he first sees them. He is not aggressive at all, just powerful. He also has this thing with tools or objects that have wheels. I have to put him in his crate before I can clean the house. That too will improve if he was getting more attention. I truly think that he acts that way as an effort to get attention, no matter if the attention is negative. He is a diamond in the rough, but I know he will polish up so pretty! If you would like to meet this young dog, please go tohttp://www.rottenrottie.com/adoption.html and fill out the adoption questionnaire under the forms tab and return it to us.
